What we do and want

We are in an exciting phase of development and are looking for two engaged and meticulous lawyers who want to contribute to a legally secure and transparent municipal operation. At our workplace, we value personal qualities highly and see every employee as a key person in our team.

We are a unit with different roles and competencies, where we jointly own our assignments. This means we support each other and contribute where needed. When the external environment changes, we need to do the same. As a unit, we are therefore flexible and ready to adapt both assignments and roles to new conditions.

The unit consists of board secretaries, archivists, lawyers, investigators, registrars, and an administrator. Together, we support the entire organization with objective deliverables that contribute to development and quality improvements.

As a lawyer with us, you will have a varied role where you work with legal advice and investigation within the municipality's different areas of operation. You will support both managers and employees with legal assessments, court processes, contribute to developing governing documents, participate in training, and information campaigns. Your role is important for the municipality to make well-founded and legal decisions in a changing environment.

Continuous improvement and digital development are in focus with us. We are now looking for engaged employees who want to develop together with us and be part of our journey towards creating an even stronger, flexible, and innovative workplace.

About the position

As a lawyer in our unit, you will have a broad and stimulating role with a focus on legal advice, investigation, and handling within various municipal operational areas. You will become an important part of our team and contribute with your competence to ensure that the municipality's decisions and processes follow current legislation and are legally secure.

Your duties include, among other things:

  • Providing qualified legal advice to boards, administrations, and managers in complex legal matters
  • Investigating and handling legal cases concerning the municipality's operations, such as authority decisions, contract reviews, as well as handling appeals and legal processes
  • Planning and conducting training and information campaigns to raise legal competence within the organization
  • Producing and revising guidelines, policies, and procedures with a legal focus to support the municipality's operations in legally secure decisions and processes
  • Collaborating with other professional groups both within the unit and with the various administrations to ensure a holistic perspective and efficiency in the municipality's work

We offer a developing position where you get the opportunity to influence the municipality's work in a secure and supportive environment, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a law degree and at least two years of experience working with qualified legal work in a municipality or authority.

You have a good understanding of what it is like to work in a politically governed organization and thrive in an advisory and supportive role. You are analytical, meticulous, and have the ability to communicate legal issues in a pedagogical and accessible manner, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have worked with:

  • Social law and social legislation
  • School law
  • General municipal administrative law

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, you are unpretentious, team-oriented, innovative, and confident in your professional role. You enjoy taking responsibility, are accustomed to handling several tasks simultaneously at a high pace, and have a solution-focused approach. You have the ability to translate law into practical use by clarifying the frameworks and highlighting the opportunities available to achieve the organization's goals.
